Raised the majority of her life in Sacramento, California, Montae M. Williams experienced a cultural variance that was impactful to her childhood. Recognizing the diversity of perspectives surrounding her, Williams used these sources to start creating. This ultimately allowed her to develop not only her writing styles, but the elaborate worlds that she invites her readers into.
Creating stories had always been her outlet throughout childhood and adolescence, as she took inspiration from various science fiction books and her own life experiences. Williams also gets much of her inspiration from her dreams, which have been key to unlocking her imagination. This semi-supernatural aspect of Williams' artistic process not only makes her stories unique but sheds light on her natural storytelling ability.
Now a mother of two, Williams is pursuing the writing career that she has long imagined for herself, recalling the stories and ideas she held during her younger years. Her goal of dazzling audiences with breathtaking stories is well underway, as she plans to release new work in the near future.
